Project Description

The 0.43 acre development will contain eight new homes built by Habitat East Bay. Our co-partner, the Alameda Development Corporation (ADC), will select families for four of the homes. The site is a former self-serve car wash covered with asphalt and there are no significant environmental concerns. The development will feature a duet building type of two contiguous units in four separate buildings, maximizing yard space for each homeowner. Each building will be two story wood frame construction, similar to other Habitat East Bay developments. The total cost of the development is projected to be about $3.5 million. We intend to maintain or exceed the level of sustainable, green features of our other recent projects.
